Most people feel a strong pinch and sting when the IV pierces the skin. Our staff members are trained to minimize the initial sting and ensure the IV is placed correctly to avoid complications.

Does the needle stay in my arm during treatment?

No. Although a needle is used initially for placement, it is removed immediately and a small, flexible, plastic catheter is left in your arm through which you receive your fluids.

What if I'm a 'hard stick' for IVs?

Our staff are ultrasound equipped. If you've been told it's hard to find your veins, don't worry. We use technology to make IV placement easy and comfortable.
